Our Fettle Filter is made up of 15 key stages, with each stage playing a vital role in the filtration process. The core stages worth shouting out are:
PPF (5 Micron): Removes larger particles such as sediment, rust, and dirt for cleaner water.
Calcium Sulfite: Effectively removes chlorine at high temperatures (we know some you like your showers extra hot).
Coconut Activated Carbon: Adsorbs impurities, odours, and harmful chemicals.
KDF55: Neutralises chlorine, mercury, and other heavy metals, while also inhibiting the growth of bacteria, algae, and fungi inside the filter.
Alkaline Ceramic Balls: Balances pH levels, creating mildly alkaline water
Vitamin C: Neutralises chlorine and provides antioxidant benefits for skin and hair

We put our shower filter to the test
Seeing is believing... we put out vitamin c powered shower filter to the test by placing chlorine testing tablets in a glass of Fettle Filtered shower water vs unfiltered shower water. The proof is in the pink with the unfiltered water clearly showing high amounts of chlorine, whilst the Fettle Filter is able to remove 95% of chlorine from the water. Our Fettlers (users) typically see the best results when they change their Shower Filters every 3 months (90 days).

Our Shower Filters have been designed to fit on 1/2 taps, which is the universal standard size of shower taps in Australia.

Do I need special tools to install a shower filter?
No, you typically don’t need any tools. The filter is designed for quick and easy installation.
In some instances old fittings are very tight and a wrench can help loosen them.
